National Flower of China:Plum Blossom
With 5000 years of history , it is difficult for China to chose just one National Flower or a single representative from among the range of beautiful blooms that show up throughout traditional art and culture. The biggest competitors for the title are, Plum Blossom (Prunus Mei) and Tree Peony (Mudan).
So now China has dual national flowers, Plum Blossoms as an emblem while Tree Peony as National Favorite. The final decision for the National Flower of China is expected by the impending 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

National Flower of Lebanon--
The most famous tree in the world is the ”Cedar of Lebanon" which is also called Cedrus libanii as mentioned in the Bible, is the national tree of Lebanon and also depicted on the national flag of Lebanon. But till now no flower has been designated as the national flower of Lebanon.
National Flower of Poland---Poppy
The largest country in central Europe, most of Poland is low-lying, with woods and lakes. Unlike many of its neighbors, Poland has only a minuscule minority population.
Corn Poppy (Papaver Rhoeas) or Red Poppy, a flower with vivid red four petals, most commonly with a black spot at their base. is the national flower of Poland. It is a variable annual plant in the northern hemisphere and generally flowers in late spring. During and after World War I, fields that had been disturbed by battle bloomed with Corn Poppies, and the flower has become a symbol of that war.

National Flower of Ukraine---Sunflower
Native to US, Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) serves as the national flower of Ukraine. Sunflowers are the plants from which birdseed, sunflower oil, and our edible sunflower seeds arise. These cultivated plants do not readily escape in Missouri. Most flowerheads on a field of blooming booming from July to November, sunflowers are turned towards the east, the direction of sun rise.

National Flower of Costa Rica---orchids
Guaria Morada (cattleya skinneri), one of the most common orchids found in Costa Rica and the flower is so popular there that it had been named the national flower of Costa Rica, officially the flower was adopted as the national flower on June 15, 1939. Guaria Morada is usually referred to as a bifoliate Cattleya because of the two leaves that adorn the top of its pseudo bulb.

Sampaguita---National Flower of Philippines
In 1934 an American governor-general proclaimed the Sampaguita as the Philippines’ national flower. It also happens to be the National Flower of Indonesia. This is a macro shot of the sampaguita flower. It looks rather big in this picture but the flower is really very small, probably no bigger than a fingernail. The sampaguita is a specie of the Jasmine
